The eleventh book of the Bible is the First Book of Kings. It tells the story of Israel from the latter days of King David's reign, through the splitting of the kingdoms and up to the reigns of Jehoram and Ahazia. It is a sad tale and shows how the people of Israel became rich and mighty when they obeyed God's commands, but were made poor and powerless because they turned their backs on God.

And he set the one in Beth-el, and the other put he in Dan. And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan"
