In this Spanish Medium Review quiz you will be able to continue your practice of writing out sentences from Spanish to English. As you are aware by now, this quiz is the second of two writing quizzes where you are given a sentence in Spanish which you then must translate into English. Each answer has correctly translated Davíd as David. Next is the verb besó which is a past tense verb that means he kissed. This then tells you that the correct translation is: David kissed her check.

El coche necesita aceite.
The car needs oil.
The car needed oil.
The car needed gas.
The car needs gas.
Each answer has correctly translated 'el coche' as 'the car'. The verb necesita is a present tense form that means needs. The second and third answers show the past tense form of the verb so they can be eliminated. The word aceite is Spanish for oil showing you that the correct translation is: The car need oil.

Dieron sangre.
They drank soda.
They don’t say.
They gave blood.
They directed singing.
The Spanish verb dieron is the past tense form of the verb dar and means they gave. Sangre means blood. Therefore, the correct translation is: They gave blood.

El doctor salvó su riñón.
The doctor saved his rib.
The doctor saved his liver.
The doctor saved his leg.
The doctor saved his kidney.
Each answer has correctly translated 'El doctor salvó su' as 'The doctor saved his'. The word riñón means kidney. Therefore, the correct translation is: The doctor saved his kidney.

El piso era de hormigón.
The floor was ceramic.
The floor was wood.
The floor was concrete.
The floor was clay.
Each answer has correctly translated 'El piso era' as 'The floor was'. The word hormigón means concrete. This means that the correct translation is: The floor was concrete.

Sentaron en el vestíbulo.
They sat on a vessel.
They sat in the lobby.
They sat in the vehicle.
They say on the bed.
Each answer has correctly translated Sentaron as they sat. The word vestibule means lobby. Therefore, the correct translation is: They sat in the lobby.

Each answer has correctly translated 'Tiene un' as 'do you have'. The word martillo means hammer. The correct translation is then: Do you have a hammer?

She feels lonely.
Each answer has correctly translated 'Ella' as 'She'. The verb siente is in the present form and means feels. Therefore, the correct translation is: She feels lonely.

Natalie fue al desfile.
Natalie went to the dentist.
Natalie went to the dresser.
Natalie went to the parade.
Natalie went to the desert.
Each answer has correctly translated 'Natalie fue al' as 'Natalie went to the'. The word desfile means parade and the correct translation is: Natalie went to the parade.

Oyó el búho.
He eyed the bull.
He heard the owl.
He heard the bull.
He eyed the owl.
The verb oyó means he heard. The first and last answer can now be eliminated. The word búho means owl. Therefore, the correct translation is: He heard the owl.
