When measuring the area of a surface you are measuring a 2 dimensional area. For example, if you wanted to measure the area of a wall you would multiply its length by its height or by its width, depending upon how you look at it. So if the wall was 11 feet long and from floor to ceiling it was 8 feet high, you multiply 11 x 8 = 88 which means the area of the wall is 88 square feet.
27ft.3 = 1yd.3
22,478ft.3 ÷ 27ft.3 or 22478 ÷ 27 = 832.52
Solution: 22,478ft.3 = 832.52yds.3
Answer (c) is the correct answer
