History is one of those subjects that covers nearly everything.
You might learn about the way the English language has changed in history; you might learn about scientific inventions in history; you might learn about geographical discoveries in history – you see our point?
Everything could potentially be taught in history classes.
However, history teachers would never have any leisure time. And student timetables would be very dull with just the word ‘History’ on it. Luckily for history teachers (and you), everything has already been organised into various subjects so school days are a little more varied and interesting.
Even luckier for you, young historians, is that we have taken what you will be studying in class and placed it into our TARDIS. Then we hopped in, took a few trips back in time and returned with a carefully-selected number of quizzes to aid your review of high school history.
You’ll be tested on Aztecs, Romans, the slave trade, the Industrial Revolution, timelines and Vikings to name a few. We even see how much you know about ancient Greek inventions. Find out about the reign of Queen Elizabeth I and how she changed history.
What have others said about history? Let’s explore.
- We are not makers of history. We are made by history. Martin Luther King, Jr
- Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it. George Santayana
- I don’t believe in accidents. There are only encounters in history. There are no accidents. Pablo Picasso
- Those who invoke history will certainly be heard by history. And they will have to accept its verdict. Dag Hammarskjold
History is very much alive. It is brimming with fascinating facts, treacherous tidbits and heroic happenings. Shall we dig into the past and see what we find?
And no, you can’t borrow the TARDIS.
