The family decides to stay in this field. Sally’s mom lays out a blanket. Then she takes out the food. The ants move towards it. Sally’s mom knows that ants are a CHALLENGE. She does everything to keep the ants off of the food. She moves the food. She covers the food, but nothing works.

“This is ABSURD. We should never have had our picnic here,” Sally’s mom says in an angry way. “The ants are everywhere.”

“Be PATIENT. I will spray them with this bug spray. The ants will PERISH,” Sally’s dad says.

“Yes, but the bodies of the ants will be on the blanket,” Sally’s mom says. “I hope the ants will FLEE instead and run away from our blanket.” It only took a SOLITARY push of the bug spray can and the ants ran away. The can was still almost full.
