The UK is the birthplace of the Girl Guides which was started by Agnes Baden-Powell in 1910, after her brother Robert Baden-Powell's success with the Boy Scouts which began in 1907. Since it's beginning, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) has grown to become a global organisation that has over 10 million members across over 150 countries.

Guides (just like Scouts) regularly participate in outdoor activities, they go camping, hiking and do a range of outdoor activities. They earn badges covering a great expanse of skills and interests, from Digital Design, First Aid, Camping and much more.
