Are you ready for some serious maths questions? This numeracy game is the grown-up version of our four other numbers games – addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

The challenge isn’t to find the incorrect answer this time, but to find the correct answer. The questions are more detailed and will need reading carefully.

You can play the game with a calculator, with a pencil and paper or, if you’re feeling brave, with mental acumen alone.

Real Life Puzzles

The questions are problems that you might encounter in the real world. They cover currency, measurements, amounts and differences.

There’s no time limit (unless you want an extra challenge of completing 20 questions in half an hour – it’s up to you!). The way to improve your maths skills is to practise and that’s what this game will give you – lots and lots of practise.

Be The Best

See if you can get your name on the weekly leaderboard. There’s a main leaderboard (on this page) and a separate leaderboard for each age. To stay on the board, you’ll need to play every few days.

The Boring Bits - Scoring

There are three scores (confusing, huh?):

1. A session score. This is shown in the purple ‘Current score’ box
2. A weekly leaderboard score - for subscribers only. This shows the highest scorers of the past 7 days
3. An overall score - for subscribers only. This is shown in ‘Your Account’
