Year 1 Time - Hours, Minutes or Seconds

This quiz addresses the requirements of the National Curriculum KS1 Maths and Numeracy for children aged 5 and 6 in year 1. Specifically this quiz is aimed at the section dealing with measuring and recording time.

Hours, minutes and seconds are the different units of time measurement children in Year 1 will be expected to understand. They may know that there are 60 seconds in a minute and 60 minutes in an hour, but they should certainly appreciate that an hour is longer than a minute and a minute is longer than a second and perhaps even begin to count up to 60 to record 1 minute.
