Welcome to the second of our Very Easy Eleven Plus maths quizzes on Position. In the first we introduced you to the points on a compass. In this one we see how well you can remember them.
One way to remember the compass points is to imagine a clock face and remember this phrase:
Never Eat Soggy Worms – the first letters tell you the four directions, starting at 12 o’clock with North, then 3 o’clock is East, 6 o’clock is South and 9 o’clock is West.
There are 90o between each point on a compass, 180o between opposite points, and it’s 360o all the way around – a full rotation.
Now let’s see whether you can navigate your way through this quiz – good luck!
